Training question

Postby gnoballib_knip on Thu Jul 10, 2008 6:30 pm

Would you say its better to train the howrse in its top three (or the three used in comps) equally or just go nuts on the one skill eg finish all of speed training then move onto another skill.

I do one skill at a time, starting with whatever I feel like. But that's just me.

I train first in speed and dressage. It will help them to win 20 comps before they get to old. I finish off the top three once they have 20 wins.
You can tell a gelding, you can ask a stallion, but you must discuss it with a mare.

I usually focus on a skill, but using the training method I use, I usually train more than one skill a day.

I personally go from the highest GP area on the horse, do the top 3 training, then rides, then comps, and while I am doing competitions, I do ALL competitions, and then I go back to the other 3 training and rides that I have not completed.
